The perfect holiday.
Hi there
Do you like the photo of me and mummy? It was taken at Bow Wows which is a dog café, dog boutique and doggie spa. We went there on Saturday for a cup of tea and a bit of shopping. I loved having a sniff around and the lovely owner gave me a treat because I sat very nicely to have my photo taken for her Facebook page.
There were lots of goodies to buy, mummy bought me some tiddlers (small fish) and some banana and honey biscuits, but best of all, I got a new scarf all ready for the winter, don't I look gorgeous. The funny thing was, I wore my scarf for the first time to the beach because it was a bit cold and windy and my bobble kept blowing about so I thought it was a toy and kept trying to bite it. Mummy said I've got no sense of style, daddy found it hilarious because he doesn't like doggie accessories, even if they are Pompey colours.
Hey, you know I'm partial to doggie ice cream, well, can you believe there's doggie pawsecco and dog beer. Don't worry though, they're not alcoholic.
Anyway, on the subject of weather, mummy's been a bit sad because she says summer is over. I've had a wonderful summer, especially playing in the water down at the haven. I made lots of friends, doggies mostly, but I love children too, especially boys like me who like playing rufty-tufty boys games.
On Sunday, mummy, daddy and me packed away all the garden furniture and had a tidy up, mummy had to keep an eye on me because I love eating the sweepings and I'd eaten quite a lot of mud and grass the day before.
It was sad to pack all the summer things away, but soon we'll be able to go back on the beach and stop to have snacks at The Shack, yum yum. Anyway, I don't know why mummy's so sad, her and daddy are off to Spain again tomorrow. I'm staying with my brother, Bert, for a week, which will be just great, lots of walks and playing with my toys and all the things I love doing when I'm at home. The second week I'm staying with auntie Shirley. Now, don't get me wrong, I like auntie Shirley, but I prefer mine and mummy's routine. For instance, I'm not really a morning person, I like a lie-in.
Auntie Shirley has me up and round the park by 8.30 am and our walk is like a military operation, not laid back like my walks with mummy, where we like to stop and chat to people, or even sit down for a bit if it's nice and sunny. With auntie Shirley it's all quick march round the park for exactly the same amount of time each walk, and whilst I like her two Pomeranian doggies, I find, two's company, three's a crowd, so sometimes, when we're indoors I get a bit bored and go and dig up the lawn or rip her slippers up.
Still, I shouldn't moan, I'm sure the two weeks will fly by and then I can get back to being spoilt rotten.
Well, I'll see you after my holidays, must go and have a cuddle with daddy now.
Love and woofs
Dino xxxxxxx
