#ThursdayThoughts
Hi there,
Well, as I mentioned in my last post, last Sunday was my first year anniversary of living with my mummy and daddy and as mummy says "time flies when you're having fun."
Don't get me wrong, I loved my doggie family, but I was definitely bottom of the pack which affected my confidence. That all changed when I came to live with mummy and daddy and became 'top dog' Back then I was still intact so my favourite was humping things, daddy's leg, my basket, Bugs Bunny and other dogs, particularly male dogs. I wasn't that keen on food, remarkable given I'll eat virtually anything I can get my paws on these days. Mind you, mummy's been a bit crafty lately, she always shares a little bit of her toast and marmite or peanut butter with mashed banana with me, but this week she's tried fobbing me off with just plain banana, as I said, I'll eat mud, sticks, crab apples and I even foraged an old tampon once, although it was snatched off me quick as lighting. But I draw the line at banana when I know full well mummy's got peanut butter on toast.
Over the past year mummy and I have fallen into a lovely routine, we're very similar personality wise, neither of us are early morning creatures, in fact, I have longer lie-ins than mummy and daddy says that takes some beating. If it's a bit cold, or worse still, raining, I just won't budge, even if mummy's put my jumper on.
Mind you, even at my cosiest, I can't resist the beach word, I love the beach, especially The Shack. Last weekend it was raining so mummy and daddy told me we wouldn't be stopping for tea and treats, pah, that's what they thought, I wouldn't budge, so tea and treats it was.
Actually it turned out to be a wise move on my part because although mummy and daddy were drenched, eventually the sun came out.
Mine and mummy's other favourite is our afternoon snuggle (but don't tell daddy.)
Bestest of all is the pub. I nearly rip mummy's arm out of its socket when we're heading there. I run in and jump up at everyone and they think I'm so adorable they start dishing out treats like smarties :)
A mad thing happened today, mummy walked me past the pub but we didn't go in? I stubbornly refused to budge and in the end mummy had to carry me home.
Hopefully I'll be going to the pub this weekend. Hope you all have a good week.
Love and woofs
