J lo

Hey there, Well it's a quick hello & goodbye this week as I'm very busy getting ready for my holidays. Mummy and daddy are off to Spain, so I'm going to stay with my auntie Jeanie and uncle Keith. I've been to the groomers and had myself spruced up, fortunately this time I didn't have a J Lo cut which makes my bum look big, but my hair is very short, sometimes, I wonder if mummy does it deliberately because she tells daddy that we have to have the heating on full time in case I get cold. Last Saturday, just when we thought spring had arrived, it snowed again! We were at the beach and had to take cover in a lovely café where I made friends with another Shih tzu. He was a bit aloof so I tried to act all grown up when his mummy got out the treats, but you know me, I get all excited and go a bit giddy with it. On Sunday our garden was covered in snow, I was delirious with excitement. Mummy and I played snowballs, I didn't manage to catch any becaus...

Hi everyone, I hope all you mummy's had a nice Mothering Sunday. I took my mummy to the beach for a nice walk and we stopped for sausage and chips, mummy said it wasn't the most luxurious Mother's day she'd ever had, but a very happy one, because she loves being with me. I love being with her too, especially when there's food around!  Here's a photo of me and my siblings with our doggy mum, we've got very full tummies......guess which one I am? Did you guess? I'm the one right on the end, laying in a different position to my siblings, mummy says, I started as I meant to go on, always the exception to the rule. We had a baking day last week, I was very excited because I knew mummy was baking biscuits for me, apparently, they were special healthy biscuits made with oats, carrots and apples, yum yum I thought. I had to do a lot of hanging around and getting under mummy's feet because she took ages making them. We both waited with bated...

This Is Me.

Hi everyone, After all the excitement of snow here in the UK last week, things have returned to normal. I had such fun while it lasted, I even joined in with Jack and Ossie, playing rough and tumble, they're brothers and don't normally include me in their games, but we were all a bit giddy with excitement. I've been trialling my new tablets to see if I use my disabled leg better, mummy says, it's very hard to tell if they are making any difference, as one minute, I'm off, tearing across the beach like Mo Farah, or furiously digging large holes in the garden and the next minute, someone will stop mummy and say: "has your dog got a limp?" Or words to that effect. Mummy gets so fed up with it she's thinking of having a t shirt with me on it saying: "yes I'm disabled......and my mummy knows!" We had a very long walk at the beach today and I trotted along for miles, but when I sit down, I still hold my leg up. Mummy wonders if ...

Professor Noel Fitzpatrick The Supervet.

Hello everyone, I would like to say a big woofing thank you to all the kind, lovely people who posted well wishes after my last post, I can't believe how many friends and followers I have. I left you on a rather sad note last week because my vet had discovered something ominous on my X ray, well, the good news is.......the super-duper vet, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, looked at my X rays and said he didn't think it was the big C word. My diagnosis is complicated, my disabled leg is a bit of a mystery, even for a super-duper vet, I can't have a prosthetic elbow and a rod in my leg would make it permanently rigid, so, I have to take tablets to see if they will relieve any discomfort and get me using my leg more. My 'good' leg is doing lots of extra work to help my bad leg and we don't want that getting damaged! Most importantly, I have to keep nice and trim and people aren't allowed to give me treats, plus I mustn't scavenge around for food or fox po...
