Hot Under The Collar.
Hi everyone
I didn't post last week because, quite frankly, it was so hot that I didn't really go anywhere, or do very much, other than find some shade or a cool spot and snooze.
Mummy and daddy did take me along one evening to have a drink with Bert and his friends, we were all going to sit nicely in the pub garden and have something to eat, but I just wasn't in the mood, so I started whinging and whining and pulling my sulky face, despite all the fuss everyone made of me. Mummy said, "It's worse than having a child on tow!" and she had the cheek to threaten me with no more visits to the pub.
Good old daddy always takes pity on me, so the next night we went to my local. I'm getting to be a creature of habit, mummy says I'm getting too big for my boots and that I think I rule the roost. When we got to the pub, my pal George was there, so we did a bit of strutting around, let people have their cuddles and all that nonsense, then we got treats, I said to George, "We've got this weighed off." We're known in the pub as the Kray twins.
We went for a visit to mummy's friend this week and I was quite excited to meet her dog, Dexter. Well, he came bounding up to me, sniffing my bits and generally encroaching on my space, so I went on the turn. Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a huge marrow bone, I thought to myself, I'm having that. Trouble was, it was so big I couldn't really do anything with it, but I wasn't going to let Dexter anywhere near it. I took my stance and as he circled me, I growled through gritted teeth.
Do you think that dog heeded my warning? Did he hell as like! I had to chase him all around the room, barking like a lunatic, it was exhausting. Eventually I had to go for a pee and to my surprise, there was another marrow bone in the garden, right I thought, I'll have that, then the whole escapade started again.
Mummy's friend said, "Does Dino think he's a rottweiler?" Aren't they hilarious, NOT.
Bert got back from New York this week, so mummy and I went over to greet him home.
We decided to go to a brassiere around the corner for lunch which was very nice because they gave me a little plate of delicious chicken, consequently, I was on my bestest behaviour.
We did have some cool weather and rain at the weekend, so we hit the beach. It was really blustery and there wasn't another dog in sight, there weren't many humans either, which daddy said was a bit of luck because mummy's dress kept blowing up showing her knickers.
Well, I'm off to snuggle with daddy,
See you soon
Love and woofs
Dino xxxxx
