In at the deep end.

I hope you've all had a good week. Firstly I apologise for those of you who couldn't watch my video that I posted last week, mummy's got to sort out some teething problems (whatever that means, I think my teeth are just fine) but she's gone off to Spain again, so we'll have to wait before I post any more videos.

As I was telling you, my favourite place to go was the beach and more specifically The Shack, but when it got to the month of May, mummy said we couldn't go anymore. Apparently doggies aren't allowed on the beach between May and September, it's a shame, but the problem is that lots of humans don't pick up their doggies poo. My mummy has had cross words with lots of humans about this and she says that they give people like us a bad name and no wonder people don't want doggies on the beach!

So, we started finding new places to walk and one of my favourites is Titchfield Haven. There are lots of fields with all sorts of exciting things to look at and smell. A stream runs along the haven but initially I didn't go near it, don't get me wrong, I enjoy my baths and grooming sessions, but I was a bit wary of that stream. Then one day, I just made a running leap for the stream and shouted "Geronimo" and with one almighty splosh I was in, don't ask me why I just suddenly do these crazy things, the other day I hurtled myself off the promenade at a new beach (which doggies are allowed on) I think the excitement just got the better of me, mummy was a bit shaken up, but I was ok.




One day, mummy and daddy took me to a summer fete, that was great fun, a man there was selling doggie food and I was allowed to sample some of the biscuits because they were organic. Mummy's very strict about what I'm allowed to eat, but as you know, I grab what I can and scoff it before mummy can get her hands on it. At the fete I also found a big box of toys, I quickly grabbed a soft rabbit by the ears, which mummy bought for me, so all in all it was a very productive day.

Hi everyone, Well, what an exciting week I've had. A doggy food manufacturer got in touch with me and asked if I would like to be part of their advertising campaign.Trouble is, I don't eat processed dog food because it's often full of nasty things like condemned beef, rancid fat and stuff surplus to human consumption like hooves, tails, testicles and ears and general sweepings from the factory floor. Like humans, what we doggies eat affects our health (and our breath and I for one don't want dog breath.) We doggies have the same digestive system as a grey wolf and grey wolves don't go to the supermarket to buy junk food, they live on prey, fruit and vegetables. I eat a raw diet just like the grey wolf, fortunately I don't have to hunt for it because mummy puts it in my bowl. Hey there, Well it's a quick hello & goodbye this week as I'm very busy getting ready for my holidays. Mummy and daddy are off to Spain, so I'm going to stay with my auntie Jeanie and uncle Keith. I've been to the groomers and had myself spruced up, fortunately this time I didn't have a J Lo cut which makes my bum look big, but my hair is very short, sometimes, I wonder if mummy does it deliberately because she tells daddy that we have to have the heating on full time in case I get cold. Last Saturday, just when we thought spring had arrived, it snowed again! We were at the beach and had to take cover in a lovely café where I made friends with another Shih tzu. He was a bit aloof so I tried to act all grown up when his mummy got out the treats, but you know me, I get all excited and go a bit giddy with it. Hi everyone Do you like the photo of me hiding under the decking? That was taken when I was a baby and mummy says that was a sure sign of things to come. I've always been a mischievous little dog, did I tell you about the time I stuck my head through a barbed wire fence to say hello to some goats? Well, unfortunately I scratched myself on the barbed wire but I didn't cry, even though I bled a little bit. Mummy was none the wiser, but a couple of days later when she was brushing me, she became hysterical and rushed me to the vets. Apparently she thought I had a terrible growth, but the vet just laughed and told mummy "it's only a scab" which she then flicked off with her finger. Daddy wasn't quite so amused as that scab cost him sixty pounds.
