New Rules.
Hi everyone,
Happy New Year.
Did you have a good Christmas? I did. First of all, it was exciting because you know I used to go and stay with my brother, Bertie, at his house when mummy and daddy went on holiday, well, I won't be doing that anymore because Bertie has moved back to my house. I love it, I'm not supposed to go in Bertie's room, it's 'out of bounds,' but I sneak in there and have a good old rummage around when no one's looking, he leaves all sorts of things laying around which are good for chewing.
Talking of chewing, do you like brussels sprouts? Mummy prepared enough to feed an army over Christmas and because I like raw vegetables, she gave me a couple. She also dropped a few whilst preparing them (I think she was on the sherry) anyway, there's only so many sprouts a dog can eat, so I squirreled some away in my basket and behind the curtains, oh and a couple behind mummy's best cushions, mummy was finding sprouts for days on end.
Christmas day was a washout weather wise, but Boxing day was lovely and I went to the beach in my jingle bells collar, I didn't wear my Santa Clause hat though.
I got lots of toys for Christmas and a funny old house thing, apparently it's a cat house and mummy thought I might like snuggling up in it, well I don't. I do like shaking it, dragging it around and trying to furiously dig my way through it, you know, like I'm digging my way down to Australia. Mummy plays the house game with me which gets me into a frenzy, especially if she sticks her head in the doorway bit and I can't get her out, I'm absolutely knackered after playing the house game, mummy says it's the best present she could have ever bought.
Mummy hates the weather this time of year, she calls it "soggy weather," it's either raining or windy and I'm continuously covered in mud. But, when the sun comes out, mummy is like a lizard and we go and sit down on the beach for hours. I'm quite happy to sit at The Shack watching the world go by, especially if I get a bit of sausage.
I'm not so happy going shopping, it's so boring being stuck in a trolley while mummy stares at things. We had to look for new slippers because, as you know, I love chewing slippers and mummy's new Christmas slippers have already gone for a burton.
Well, I'm off for a cuddle with my new teddy bear, see you soon.
Love and woofs
Dino xxxxxx
