Hello my lovely friends,

I've had a rather traumatic week I'm sorry to say.
Everything was going great....... I had a smashing weekend, mummy and daddy took me for a long walk through the countryside and we visited a pub, which is believed to be the oldest in Hampshire, for our lunch.

We visited an old church and I frolicked amongst the snowdrops, I do love a good old frolic.

And the next day I had fun on the beach, especially when I found some sandcastles that needed investigating.

I even saw my best friend, George, for the first time in ages, I was so pleased, I just rolled over and let him dominate me. Unfortunately, Duchess muscled in and George got cross, he's a bit possessive like that and doesn't like it when other dogs interfere with our bromance.

On top of all that, the postman delivered a parcel for me and it was a new fluffy basket with my name on it! I went through the usual 'new things' ritual, I flicked it and shook it, then I chewed it and sucked it to make sure it smelt of my own doggie breath, then I settled down and had a snooze in it.

Then it all went horribly wrong. Mummy took me to the vet, which I was quite excited about because last time I was there I got a delicious biscuit, I trotted in, tail wagging, greeting all and sundry, then suddenly, mummy was gone and I was in a cage feeling very woozy. When mummy and daddy came to pick me up that night I was totally discombobulated, I couldn't even stand up. Apparently I was under anesthetic for quite a while having my X rays and my teeth cleaned. Anyway, I cried because I was so pleased to see mummy and I just wanted to go home, but mummy had to look at my X rays and next thing, she was crying. The vet told mummy that my disabled leg is quite deformed and probably beyond repair, I was born with a deformity, as some humans are, and there are ways of coping with it. But my 'good' leg isn't so good as it turns out. The vet saw something on the X ray that looks rather sinister and it needs to be looked at by a specialist.

Mummy's said I'm not to worry and has been doing lots of fun things with me to take my mind off the whole horrible experience, but I've caught her crying a couple of times, so we're all a bit off kilter at the moment. Hopefully next week it'll be good news and we can all get back to normal.

Well, until then, say a little prayer for me.
Love and woofs,
Dino xxxxxxx
