What larks We Have.
Hello, how are you?
I'm fine and dandy, thanks for asking. We've had some super duper weather and you know what that means...... seaside frolics!
Today, mummy and I took the blanket and a picnic to the beach and had what mummy calls "A holiday-day." We had a little swim and played the chasing pebbles into the sea game, then we have to have a rest, it's called sunbathing.
I touched lucky, as we were walking along the promenade I got a whiff of something delicious, mummy doesn't know how I can sniff things out like I do, but I'm ace at it. Anyway, I found a big pile of cocktail sausages, can you believe it, mummy couldn't, she was quite angry, luckily I'd scoffed quite a few before she put me on the lead. A lady told mummy that a man puts the sausages on the beach for the seagulls, I'm glad I beat them to it.
Talking of food, my other favourite place is the pub, I've got so many admirers and they all give me treats, so imagine my surprise when I walked in and saw my friend George on my turf. Now, I like George, in fact I'm very submissive to him at the park, but hang on, the pub's my territory, so I had to give him a bit of a telling off! We settled down eventually because George doesn't like treats, which was a win win situation for me because I nabbed his.
There was a bit of an awkward situation this week.
Firstly, can I say that when I first moved in with mummy and daddy, I was their best boy, top dog and all that. My human brother, Bertie, lived in another house and I loved it when he visited, I even spent my holidays with him, it was all great. Then out of nowhere, Bert came to my house to LIVE. Now, a dog's got his routines and let me tell you, I'm not a morning pooch. I like my lie in, I have a cuddle with mummy, then I wait in bed until she's finished her ablutions, then we go down and have a leisurely breakfast before going out. Bert disrupts my routine, he crashes into our bedroom in the morning, plays his music loud and what's worse, sometimes lays on our bed having a chat with mummy, it's the last straw. I decided to pay him back, so when he wasn't looking, I went into his bedroom and did a poo. I felt a bit guilty later on because Bert took me to the beach and we had lots of fun, then we went to my favourite café for brunch.
Anyway, I've got to go, mummy's all of a fluster because I just found a mouse in the garden and was trying to play with him, but he just crouched down and started shaking. Mummy's in the garden keeping an eye on him and I'm not sure if I'm in the doghouse again?
See you next week
Love and woofs
