Better Now.


Hi everyone,

I'm a bit out of sorts this week, I've heard mummy and daddy say the holiday word a few times, which means I'll be packed off to auntie Jean and uncle Keith's before you can say Jack Robinson. I love my auntie and uncle, but I do miss mummy and daddy. Mind you, mummy's not in my good books at the moment. Last week while we were at the park, I met a new doggie, he seemed ok, a bit too friendly for my liking, but I try to be sociable. Anyway, I'd sort of had enough of him sniffing my bits, when he decided to jump up at mummy and I thought, hang on, are you after my treats? I decided to rough him up a bit and mummy really shouted at me. She had the cheek to say "Stop showing off" imagine my embarrassment in front of all my friends, my street cred has gone right out the window.




When we got home I stormed straight off to my crate, if I could have slammed the door I would have. Mummy said "Stay there and sulk then."


I stuck to my guns and stayed in my crate for ages, even when mummy started feeling guilty and started cajoling me with that baby talk nonsense.


Course, what mummy didn't know, was that I'd eaten a stick and actually had a tummy ache, so it suited me to stay in my crate, she found out later though when I had terrible trouble trying to squeeze it out!

I shouldn't be horrible to mummy really, we've had great fun this past week. We went to the forest and mummy got bitten alive by horrible insects because I wouldn't come out of the stream.


We went to the Shack (on condition I was a good boy and didn't wander off looking for food, because the beach is out of bounds for doggies in the summer. )


And best of all, mummy got my paddling pool out.



The other exciting (apparently) thing is, Bertie is moving to his new house soon. Daddy says it's cause for celebration, but I'm not so sure. I'm going to miss Bert's cuddles and the tidbits he gives me, although I won't miss him lunging onto our bed in the morning and nearly squashing me in the process (and I get a bit jealous, but don't tell anyone.)

Hi everyone, Well, what an exciting week I've had. A doggy food manufacturer got in touch with me and asked if I would like to be part of their advertising campaign.Trouble is, I don't eat processed dog food because it's often full of nasty things like condemned beef, rancid fat and stuff surplus to human consumption like hooves, tails, testicles and ears and general sweepings from the factory floor. Like humans, what we doggies eat affects our health (and our breath and I for one don't want dog breath.) We doggies have the same digestive system as a grey wolf and grey wolves don't go to the supermarket to buy junk food, they live on prey, fruit and vegetables. I eat a raw diet just like the grey wolf, fortunately I don't have to hunt for it because mummy puts it in my bowl. Hey there, Well it's a quick hello & goodbye this week as I'm very busy getting ready for my holidays. Mummy and daddy are off to Spain, so I'm going to stay with my auntie Jeanie and uncle Keith. I've been to the groomers and had myself spruced up, fortunately this time I didn't have a J Lo cut which makes my bum look big, but my hair is very short, sometimes, I wonder if mummy does it deliberately because she tells daddy that we have to have the heating on full time in case I get cold. Last Saturday, just when we thought spring had arrived, it snowed again! We were at the beach and had to take cover in a lovely café where I made friends with another Shih tzu. He was a bit aloof so I tried to act all grown up when his mummy got out the treats, but you know me, I get all excited and go a bit giddy with it. Hi everyone Do you like the photo of me hiding under the decking? That was taken when I was a baby and mummy says that was a sure sign of things to come. I've always been a mischievous little dog, did I tell you about the time I stuck my head through a barbed wire fence to say hello to some goats? Well, unfortunately I scratched myself on the barbed wire but I didn't cry, even though I bled a little bit. Mummy was none the wiser, but a couple of days later when she was brushing me, she became hysterical and rushed me to the vets. Apparently she thought I had a terrible growth, but the vet just laughed and told mummy "it's only a scab" which she then flicked off with her finger. Daddy wasn't quite so amused as that scab cost him sixty pounds.
